Study of Photo-Conductivity in MoS2 Thin Films Grown in Low-Temperature Aqueous Solution Bath

An experimental study over the optical response of thin MoS2 films grownby chemical bath deposition (CBD) method is presented. As two important factors, theeffect of bath temperature and growth time are considered on the photocurrentgeneration in the grown samples. The results show that increasing the growth time leadsto better optical response and higher difference betw...

COMPARISON OF PROPERTIES OF TiN/TiCN AND PLASMA NITRIDING/TiCN FILMS DEPOSITED ON THE TOOL STEEL BY PULSED DC- PACVD

In this work, TiN/TiCN & PN/TiCN multilayer films were deposited by plasma- assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD). Plasma nitriding (PN) and TiN intermediate layer prior to coating leads to appropriate hardness gradient and it can greatly improve the mechanical properties of the coating. The composition, crystalline structure and phase of the films were investigated by X-ray d...

Ultrafast coupling interaction in organized molecular ultrathin films

Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of arachidic acid (AA, CH3(CH2)18COOH) at the glass/air interface are investigated by sum-frequency generation (SFG) vibrational spectroscopy. The newly identified band at 2818 cm−1 in LB films has been attributed to a soft mode of the C-H vibration induced by the interaction (coupling) with the rest of the molecule near the glass substrate. The coherent responses o...

Effects of shearing flow with inertia on monolayer mesoscale structure.

In an experimental flow system capable of imparting a well-controlled shear-rate distribution with inertia to a monolayer consisting of coexisting phases, we have studied the resulting phase morphology and domain fragmentation. These evolve on distinct time scales: the viscous time associated with the viscosity in the bulk and the Marangoni stress and the fragmentation/relaxation time associate...

Investigation of thickness-dependent stress in PbTiO3 thin films

X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy were used to investigate stress dependence on thickness in PbTiO3 (PTO) films grown by pulsed liquid injection Metalorganic Chemical Vapor Deposition on a LaAlO3 (001) substrate (LAO). Films on sapphire substrate (R-plane) were used as polycrystalline film reference. Epitaxial PTO films with a dominant c-domain structure are grown on LAO substrate ...
